Mr Staratschek,

last Sunday have the Berliners decided that the contracts be made public, that the partial privatization of their water supply was regulated. No backroom politics! But 98 percent voted
YES. For the first time an initiative in Germany in a referendum that was not linked to an election, the agreement has cracked quorum of 25 percent.
Water is our No. 1 Food Normally are responsible for the city water treatment plants. In Berlin, however, much of the water supply have been sold to a group. What exactly were identified who do not know the people. The contracts remain secret.

After the successful referendum parts of the contracts were made public. Therefore, the initiators of the decision had to tremble, if enough people would participate. They had even partially achieved their goal already. But then 665 713 people who voted YES and set a standard for transparency in dealing with public property.
